ARTS FUNDRAISER
The public is invited to the annual arts fundraiser of the Norfolk Academy. The Opening Gala & Artists' Reception will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at the academy's arts center. The show features "Original Works by Award Winning Regional & National Artists." There will also be "Antiques and Adornments," as well as "Love & Elbow" - creatively restored furnishings. Come join us there for a wonderful sensory experience in support of a great cause!
The show will continue Sun., April 25 from 2-5 p.m., Mon., April 26 to Fri., April 30 from 11 a.m. til 3:30 p.m., and Sat., May 1 from 9-2:30. More information at:

WHAT'S BLOOMIN' AT THE ARTISTS GALLERY?
"The Bloomin' Art Show" is the theme for April. It's an exhibition & sale of floral and garden related 2D and 3D art, celebrating Spring and all its glory. Opening Reception Friday, April 9, 2010 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Judging & awards presented. Show runs through May 1st.
May 7th through 29th brings "Following Her Passion: An Invitational Exhibit." This show celebrates Women in the Arts in Virginia, and is part of the Minds Wide Open Statewide Initiative to Increase Visibility of the Arts. Judged for awards, this exhibition has an Opening Reception Friday, May 7th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
COMING IN JUNE!
Plein Aire Painters of Virginia Beach - an exclusive, two-week only exhibition of plein aire paintings by local artists. Featured art will be a selection of small to medium size paintings painted on location at some of our most interesting Virginia Beach sites, including homes, gardens, beaches, restaurants, and places of interest. Opening Reception at The Artists Gallery on Friday, June 25th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Be sure to visit Lois' ever changing wall of art at The Artists Gallery in Virginia Beach! The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday. Hours are from 10-5 Tues.-Fri., and 10-4 on Saturdays.
